TRUE LITERACY

Your golden ticket to success in life!

Your key to successful STEM learning

(Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths)

Could you imagine being able to read a page, a chapter, or even a whole textbook with full understanding, and then being able to easily put into practice what you had just read?

No more spending hours and hours memorising to pass exams, or despairing because you can’t remember the information or feel confused and upset about studying. No more turning into a wooden puppet, unable to think clearly. No more caffeine-fuelled all-nighters trying to cram facts and data into your skull.

STEMiteracy® is a unique educational initiative I developed in 2021, from years of working in engineering and education, whose aim is to restore true literacy as the building block of successful STEM learning and to develop students into able learners who will be competent in life and in their chosen fields.

STEMiteracy Educational Resources

Enjoy browsing through this site and discover a simple but far-reaching range of articles, learning tools and principles that you can apply straight away in your studies, or as a parent or educator. Check out the initiative’s mission.

Download the free resources available such as my free A Very Useful Guide to Understanding STEM for high school students, parents and teachers, or my free Becoming a Genius Workbook for high school students, based on the 24 characteristics of a genius by Dr Alfred Barrios.

We offer a unique range of digital science books aimed at Key Stage 3 students (in the UK that is ages 11-14) and 14+ years. The content of the books follows the Cambridge science curriculum for physics, biology and chemistry. What is unique about these books is that they teach science with a focus on true literacy by ensuring that all key words in the topic arefully explained including their Latin or Greek roots. And what's more, each book comes with the following:

  • A complete student workbook which will take the student through the textbook.  The student has to simply follow the workbook step-by-step and do each activity called for.
  • Hand-drawn and fun illustrations throughout.
  • Definitions of science words with their Latin or Greek roots and a full glossary.
  • Exercises and drills to learn to THINK with the information and learn to apply the data. No rote learning.

The materials come with clear explanations of how to proceed through each textbook and workbook. This method is ideal for those students who want to learn at their own pace, for homeschooling and even for teachers and schools who would like to implement this programme in their institution. If you have any question about this programme, email us at hello@stemiteracy.org.

You will be hard-pressed to find any similar books on the market. They are very reasonably priced for ease of accessibility by everyone.

Examine the materials for yourself. Download your free sample chapter Year 7 Physics book (11-12 years) - Physics Part I: Energy and its accompanying workbook. You will be pleasantly surprised. I would also recommend you download our Science Key Words List workbook for you, your students or your children to work through. You will not be disappointed.

More free and paid resources are being regularly added to the site, so keep it as a favourite or join my mailing list for updates.

Why can STEMiteracy make a difference?

Unfortunately, the modern Western education system, which is based on the Prussian model of education for making compliant soldiers, has been failing students across the globe for many decades. We see so many young people giving up on STEM subjects at school or college when they would have really wanted to succeed. So many people thinking they are ‘not clever enough’ or ‘too stupid’ to learn. We see so many students giving up on their entire education, falling into the medication or street drug trap. Their self-confidence has been shot. So much amazing people potential around the world is being lost!

The STEMiteracy initiative focusses on ability and improving learning ability, starting from pre-school all the way through to university and beyond. STEMiteracy does NOT focus on finding 'disabilities' and various other things 'wrong' with students as is the current common practice in Western education systems.

True literacy, with its accompanying learning know-how, is the cornerstone to success not only in STEM education, but in all educational endeavours. Restoring these abilities in every student will create a renaissance in the field of education not seen for a very long time.

STEMiteracy principles are not limited to just STEM learning. They can be used across ALL learning at school, college, university, at home, in the workplace, and in life!

If you would like to communicate any ideas, give me feedback on the resources, any wins or successes, or have any questions, simply email me at hello@stemiteracy.org.

I am here to help and love to hear wins from users.

Enjoy!

Her latest series on the state of modern schooling will open your eyes to the very real issues that we must solve as soon as possible to halt the steep decline in global education and literacy: the cause of the loss of human knowledge. But what is at the back of this decline? What is fuelling it?
